Thanks go to South Middle River Civic Association’s Beautification / Landscape Committee members who helped clean our StreetScapes on Saturday, Feb. 20: Frank and Vinnie, Dolly, Rob and Carmen, Ray, Michael, Jeffrey and Ron. A little civic activism goes a long way and gets the job done! Membership in the South Middle River Civic Association is only $20 yearly. Our goal this year is to have every resident become a member. Won’t you please join or renew in 2010? THANK YOU.

At South Middle River Civic Association’s January general membership meeting, the members voted to change the location of the meetings from Fort Lauderdale High School to 501 NW 17th Street, Fort Lauderdale, next to the Community Garden, beginning in February 2010. This change in location is due to easier access to the meeting room at the new location.

OUR NEXT GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING WILL BE HELD AT 501 NW 17TH STREET. ON TUES. FEBRUARY 23, 2010 AT 6:30 P.M.

ALL MEMBERS AND NON-MEMBERS ARE INVITED TO ATTEND. WE NEED YOUR ATTENDANCE AT OUR MEETINGS. YOU ARE THE MISSING LINK. ONE PERSON CAN MAKE A POWERFUL AND POSITIVE IMPACT. WE WELCOME EVERYONE.

Announcement:

South Middle River Civic Association Board of Directors meet at one of our neighborhood’s two parks: Warfield Park, 100 N. Andrews (corner of Andrews and Sunrise, across from Walgreens) on the second Wednesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. These meetings are open to the public. This month’s meeting is on Wed. Feb. 10th, 2010.

Also, our association is a proud member of the Council of Civic Associations of the City of Fort Lauderdale, which meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month: That organization’s agenda for Tues. Feb. 9th is as follows:
